Overview: Over the next three years, they plan to open 35 new supermarkets a year and approximately 98% of the UK population now live within 10 miles of one of their cataloguing ventures. They boast a huge range of over 12,000 goods. Argos was founded in 1973 and is now one of the UK's leading general merchandise retailer with sales of over £3 billion between 2003-2004. They publish two catalogues a year, the spring/summer edition in January and the autumn/winter one in July. Review 2 - Posted May 2008: Argos stores are a disaster! The automated telephone system does not work. The branches do not answer the phone. I predict they will be bankrupt in the next 12 months. Review 3 - Posted Apr 2004: Good selection, never had any items out of stock which is helpful and the reserve facility actually worked! I don't understand why the delivery times are so long though.
